Near the front line, Russians are growing tired of war
A report from Belgorod, where not all residents see Ukrainians as enemies

How big a threat is AI to entry-level jobs?
And what should companies do in response?

 

AI가 신입이 맡던 잡무를 대체하면서 조직은 전통적인 피라미드형에서 다이아몬드형으로 변할 가능성이 있다.
그러나 (1) AI의 장기적 영향은 아직 불확실하고, (2) 인재를 키웠다가 잃는 리스크만큼이나 미래 인재 파이프라인이 없는 것도 위험하며, (3) 신입 채용 없이 자연 감소로 인원을 줄이는 방식은 AI를 잘 활용할 수 있는 인재를 확보하는 전략이 아니다.

Lots of junior staff spend their first years in the office inexpertly doing document-heavy grunt work in return for experience.

If a junior employee is smart, they may well be using ai themselves to get the work done, so are they learning anything anyway? And if the diamond is the shape of the future, why not let someone else train early-career employees and lure them to your organisation a bit later?

Third, although attrition may seem like the least disruptive way to cut back on employees, it is not the best way to acquire an ai-literate workforce.

And although lots of young people regard ai with the sort of deep antipathy they normally reserve for their parents, they tend to use it more than older workers.
